Ladybug STEM Activity Journal - Budding Entomologist

Love Insect Lore! This is my second year using Insect Lore and I’m just as pleased as I was last year! My class and I raised butterflies last year and this year we chose ladybugs. Both were easy and enjoyable to grow and turned out so cute! I loved it just as much as my students! Will continue to order every year. :)

My preschool students and I loved this. We ended up with 6 adult ladybugs! It was so fun to watch them grow and change, and then release them. I love that this kit comes with everything we need and it was so easy!

Kids have loved using the journal.

I love lady bugs. Being able to go through these pages with my son and the activities that show that the cycle is like was so fun

This was such an amazing and fun experience to witness the ladybug metamorphosis. I may have to give the butterflies a try next year.

Very cool and worth the price!

I used both journals in my afterschool program. We have students from Pre-K through 5th grade and each April we raise ladybugs for release to the shrubs on the playground. The journals' activity pages were perfect for this age group!

I love this journal. It is appropriate for many ages. Unfortunately, my ladybugs did not survive, but I purchased some and will set them free on Monday with my classes. I am excited to watch the children fill out the journal entry on how it feels to let the ladybugs go.

We enjoyed using the budding entomologist journal. It has fun activities that helped keep the kids immersed in this project. A must have for this project.

My four year old grandson and I enjoyed this activity. It was our second year. We used the Ladybug Land again. It was a different experience from last year with a 3 year old. We enjoyed the larvae as they grew and transformed. When we released the ladybugs a few stayed close and crawled on his arm adding to our delight.

This journal is absolutely darling. My 5 year old and I had so much fun going through each activity. There are even little mindfulness prompts that got him thinking more deeply about the project. It was great to slow down and really think about the miracle of life together. He also loved all the coloring opportunities. A must buy!
