Hot Weather Delivery FAQs

During the hot summer months, we require that all live orders be sent via our Beat the Heat Shipping to protect your heat-sensitive caterpillars, ladybug larvae, and ants so you can enjoy the best experience. Orders will ship via FedEx2 day shipping or USPS Priority (if shipping to a PO Box) to reduce transit time.

Your insects are growing during transit. Longer transit times result in larger insects. Orders shipped by USPS Ground Advantage can take up to 10 days, which impacts your enjoyment of your live insect project, and can harm our heat-sensitive insects.

Please allow 1-2 days for us to carefully process your living order. Below are the expected arrival days.

  • Shipped Monday: Arrives Wednesday
  • Shipped Tuesday: Arrives Thursday
  • Shipped Wednesday: Arrives Friday
  • Shipped Thursday: Arrives Tuesday

Please note that once the package is in the hands of the carrier, variables like weather, transit holdups, or high package volumes can occasionally affect delivery.

During summer, we ship packages Monday to Thursday.
