They have been so much fun for my Neice! I know they warned about them possibly arriving dead due to cold temperatures. I took the risk! They arrived cold and balled up and I thought they were dead. I gave them sometime to warm up indoors and they were cruising around in no time! They even sent some complimentary wildflower pollinator seeds 💕 already planning our next purchase!!!

This was the perfect birthday gift for my daughter who LOVES critters and animals. So much fun to watch the community of ants make a home!

Perfect set of Harvest Ants!!

The experience with ants was not a positive one for us. We didn't realize we'd have to watch all the ants die and it was a hard thing to do.

So fun and educational. Ants arrived quickly and survived transit. You must be mindful about the climate your ants are coming into during transit. We almost ordered ours too close to winter, but luckily it worked out great anyway. We learned a lot. This is our second insect lore kit and I highly recommend them. We will order lady bugs in the spring.

Great for preschool living science station. We absolutely love it.

Ant Mountain was a wonderful way for my first grade students to make observations of the daily changes of the habitat. The ants began tunneling immediately and were so interesting to watch! I will be doing this again next year.

This is our 3rd time as a family to purchase and use the ant mount for extra kindergarten observation on insect life. They always come in a timely manner and mound is a great design. Will use again for our youngest child in the near future! :ant:

Contents came before expected and the ants were ready to go and in good condition

All the ants arrived dead - not sure when in the process pf shipping they died - now we need new ants

They had an issue with the wedsite and it wouldnt process the order so they called me to conplete the order, shipping was fast tho we had about 20% of the ants dead on arrival, the rest so far are thriving tho.

The ants died quickly

They only lasted 2 days because there was not a queen.

The ants and sand came from a different company, and even they arrived in well condition the sand size was not enough for InsectLore ant container.

Instructions clear. It was a cool project. Longevity of ants was surprisingly sad. Ants died within 3 weeks. Water and fed them according to instructions.

All of the ants died within a week or so of having them. I followed the instructions. The only thing I can think I did wrong was I fed them a piece of potato. Maybe potato isn't the best food to add. Upon reexamining the instructions, I did not see potato on the list of foods so I am 100% willing to take the blame.

I loved the butterflies. All but one lived and flew into freedom. Unfortunately, the ants died pretty quickly. I'm not sure what happened. They lasted about a week or two. They were interesting while they lasted.

Ants lived for about 2 weeks. Child was pretty disappointed.

Unfortunately, our ants died within a very short couple weeks. I felt we followed the instructions included as closely as possible. So that was disappointing but we hope to try again.

We followed the directions for the ants to the letter and they all died within 8 days of arrival. I received them from my mailbox within the hour of their delivery. They were kept indoors away from direct sunlight and we fed and watered them according to the booklet
