Who's that pollinator? It's a Hummingbird! These feisty birds eat 5-8 times per hour on average and can visit hundreds of different flowers daily.  When a hummingbird visits a flower, pollen grains adhere to their beaks and then can be carried to the next flower!

26 species of hummingbird live in the United States, though some species migrate back and forth between the US and Mexico. These migrations are seasonal and correspond to the flowering times of native plants at their destinations.

How can you welcome more hummingbirds to your yard? Hummingbirds are attracted to flowers by sight, not by smell, and they love tubular blooms that are red, pink, yellow, and orange!
