Hurry! Limited quantities remaining!

What a fun learning experience! Hatch your very own praying mantis egg case while learning all about this fascinating insect!

Includes:

  • Live Praying Mantis Egg Case (contains 75 to 200 baby mantids!)
  • Hatching Plant Egg Case Holder
  • Pop up Port-A-Bug Habitat (8 inches tall)
  • Praying Mantis Egg Case Quick Guide
  • Read Me! insert with helpful Praying Mantis Egg Case tips

Set the egg case on the hatching plant, place the hatching plant in the habitat, and then keep a close eye out for little hatchlings to arrive! Once your baby mantises emerge, release most of them into your garden to begin preying on unwanted pests. Keep one or two of the mantises in the habitat to feed, observe, raise to adulthood, and then release!

Due to the many variables involved in raising a praying mantis, Insect Lore does not guarantee that your baby praying mantis will grow to adulthood.

It takes about 3 to 12 weeks for the egg case to hatch. Temperatures should be 55 degrees Fahrenheit or above when you release your mantises. Those customers located in colder climates should wait for temperatures to warm up before ordering.

Egg cases are available now until the end of May, while supplies last. Food for hatchlings is not included.

Delivery of Praying Mantis Egg Cases is limited to destinations within the continental USA. We cannot ship to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or Canada.
