Raise a butterfly for each of your students! This popular project is designed especially for classrooms; the Pavilion habitat hangs so everyone in the class can see the butterflies within (but is also safely out-of-reach of sometimes too-enthusiastic hands).

Includes 33 Painted lady caterpillars with food, 33 vials and lids, a washable and reusable two-foot tall Butterfly Pavilion habitat, additional special caterpillar growth food and complete instructions.

Notice! This kit ships with live insects! The kit with a mail-in certificate for the live critters is available elsewhere in the Insect Lore store. If seasonal temperatures are extremely hot or cold, expect a short delay in delivery to ensure the health and happiness of your live critters during transit.

Caterpillars take approximately three weeks to develop, and Insect Lore guarantees that two-thirds hatch into beautiful butterflies. Some set up is required, as caterpillars must be separated into their vials with food and lids.

Absolutely safe to release into the environment. Available only in the Continental U.S. and Alaska.
